​Scholarships

Bennington College

​Beginning in fall 2018, Bennington College will award an annual $10,000 merit scholarship to accepted students who have completed one of the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont. The scholarship honors the memory of Andrea Diehl, a Bennington graduate and trustee of GIV, and recognizes and supports students whose exemplary commitment to learning has been evidenced by their choice to engage in college-level immersion learning in their spare time. ​Davidson Institute for Talent Development Scholarship

The Davidson Institute offers the Davidson Fellows Award, which provides $50,000, $25,000, and $10,000 scholarships. Visit the Davidson Fellows Web site for additional information and application deadlines.

​Drew University Scholarship

Drew University offers four years of free tuition to graduates of the New Jersey Governor's School in the Sciences. This scholarship applies to graduates from 2008 onward. Visit the Press Release for details (Link not working).

​Florida Institute of Technology

Florida Institute of Technology will award 10 scholarships to graduating delegates of the Governor's School for Space Science and Technology. Governor's School scholarships will offer a minimum guarantee of $15,000 per academic year up to full tuition for attendance at the university. Selected graduating delegates of the Governor's School must apply and be accepted for admission to Florida Tech and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid during their senior year in high school.

​Kentucky State College & University Scholarships

Various Kentucky state schools offer scholarships to alumni of the Governor's Scholars Program (GSP) and Governor's School for the Arts (GSA). Read about GSP scholarships and GSA scholarships on the respective program Web sites (need links).

​Mississippi University for Women Scholarship

​The Mississippi University for Women (host of the Mississippi Governor's Schools) offers a $500 scholarship per academic year to any student from any state who attended a governor's school. Visit the Mississippi University for Women Web page for additional information.

Norwich University

Norwich University offers an automatic $2000 scholarship for any accepted alum of an NCOGS Governor's School.

​Salem College Governor's School

The Governor's School Scholarship Governor's School scholarships are awarded to up to four freshmen who have attended a Governor's School summer session. Each award is worth $19,000 and is renewable annually if the recipient maintains a 3.0 college GPA and is a full-time resident. Visit the Salem College page for more information.

​Samford University Scholarship

Samford University Governor's Scholarships recognize students who are selected as a Governor's School Outstanding Participant in Alabama. The University believes the lives and commitments of such students hold great promise for addressing the vital issues of the future. Upon completion of scholarship requirements, a Governor's Scholarship is renewable annually. Visit the Samford University scholarships page for more information(need web page).

​Savannah College of Art & Design Scholarship

The Savannah College of Arts & Design offers the Artistic Honors Scholarship: A $5,000 per year scholarship is awarded by the college to a limited number of accepted students who have won first place in the Congressional Art Competition, have participated in selected Governor's Honors Programs, Governor's Schools, or other similar approved programs, or who have demonstrated outstanding artistic ability through portfolio presentation as judged by the Scholarship Review Committee.
