The Retreat is open to all members and persons interested and involved in Governor's Schools. It is expected, however, that the two delegates (or their designated representatives) from each state with Governor's Schools will be in attendance.
The Retreat starts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11th and will conclude on Saturday with the General Session at 4:00 p.m. A breakfast will be available for those who depart on Sunday. Van service will be provided to and from the Airport.
Scheduled flights into Columbus, Golden Triangle Airport (GTR):
Delta Connections are scheduled through Atlanta.
Northwest Connections are scheduled through Memphis.
The Conference Center is located just off Highway 82 on Old West Point Road. Please let us know your flight information and we will meet you at the airport. Fax your itinerary to (662) 329-8515 or email Bob Seney [email protected].

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12

9:00: Evaluations: what we have learned? What are the next steps?
11:00: Updates from different programs
12:00 Lunch & Free time
2:00: Long range planning: What lies ahead for NCoGS?
4:00: Updates from different programs
Free time and catfish dinner at the Retreat Center
Evening: no organized sessions
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13
Breakfast
9:00: Formulate draft of long-range plan
11:00: Updates from different programs
12:00: Lunch & Free Time
2:00: Odds and ends (2nd Board Meeting; open to all participants)
4:00: Initial discussion: 2002 National Conference
Free time and dinner on your own. Vans will be available for transport.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14
Depart: Please be sure to let Bob Seney know flight arrangements so that you will be picked up and dropped off at the airport in University vans.
