NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF GOVERNOR'S SCHOOLS NEWSLETTER
OCTOBER 13-15, LOUISVILLE, KY
The NCoGS conference hotel rooms in Louisville will soon be released. Please reserve your hotel room(s) and register soon to ensure you receive the discounted room rate.
Dear NCoGS Friends,
With this note, in addition to my personal invitation for you to join the National Conference of Governor's Schools' 30th Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, I would like to share with you the schedule of events. While some programming needs to be finalized, knowing the details regarding time and places will help you plan your arrival and departure logistics. The Conference will take place beginning on Thursday, October 13th with registration in the afternoon followed by our Opening Reception, planned to take place at Doc's Cantina on the Downtown Louisville Riverwalk.
The Conference meeting will take place inside the Kentucky Derby Museum, located next to historic Churchill Downs. There will be opportunities for you to visit the Museum and we will schedule a tour of Churchill Downs. In addition, on Saturday afternoon, October 15th, after the meeting adjournment, there will be an opportunity to visit the Muhammad Ali Center.
Please find HERE the updated Registration Form and Important Information regarding lodging. In consultation with the NCoGS Executive Committee, we have maintained the same fees and annual dues as in the last few years. While the hotel rooms will be held until September 13th, I would like to mention that because of the hotel proximity to the Papa John's-University of Louisville Cardinal Stadium, our hotel will be the choice for many football fans attending the UofL-Duke game on Friday, October 14th. Please make your reservations as early as possible!
Hoping to see you in Louisville!
Aris Cedeño Executive Director Governor's Scholars Program
