West Virginia

The State of West Virginia is pleased to offer, at no cost, premier summer programs for students following their seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades in school.

The faculty and staff for all of the West Virginia Governor's Schools are carefully selected, giving students a specially designed curriculum. Students attend workshops, classes, and a variety of stimulating extra-curricular activities in the areas of arts, humanities, mathematics, science, and technology.

Except for providing health care insurance and transportation to and from the school site, Governor's Schools are entirely free for students. They are administered by the Office of Secretary of Education and the Arts.
